Job Duties

  • Support the development, review, and delivery of member marketing communications designed to encourage healthy behaviors and actions.

  • Support senior campaign team members in executing marketing communication strategies and plans.

  • Manage day-to-day execution of marketing projects from initial concept through production and final delivery.

  • Develop and coordinate content across multiple communication channels, including print, web, mobile, text, and newsfeed.

  • Prepare creative briefs and coordinate content creation, review, approval, and production processes.

  • Manage project plans, tasks, milestones, schedules, stakeholder reviews, and feedback.

  • Coordinate quality assurance of marketing materials, communications, and audience files.

  • Ensure communications are accurate, consistent, easy to understand, and aligned across channels.

  • Translate complex healthcare information into clear, member-friendly communications using health literacy principles.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders throughout project execution.

  • Coordinate technical and creative phases of marketing collateral and communication materials.

  • Track project budgets, estimated costs, timelines, deliverables, and overall project status.

  • Monitor communication performance and prepare reporting on key metrics, including click-through rates, response rates, action rates, and list health.

  • Use performance data to identify opportunities to improve and optimize member communications.

  • Provide project status and performance updates to campaign leads.

  • Help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with marketing plans and business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work onsite 2 days per week at one of the following California office locations: Oakland, El Dorado Hills, Rancho Cordova, Long Beach, Woodland Hills, or San Diego.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent training required.

  • 2–4 years of related professional experience.

  • Marketing communications experience with an understanding of how to develop clear, relevant communications for customers or members.

  • Strong project management experience with the ability to manage projects from initiation through completion.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to follow detailed guidelines and processes.

  • Self-starter with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

  • Experience with Smartsheet.

  • Health plan, healthcare marketing, health education, or other highly regulated industry experience preferred.

  • Health literacy, behavioral science, or behavior-change experience is a plus.

  • Performance analytics experience preferred.

  • Experience with Adobe Workfront, CJA, JIRA, or Lucid is a plus.
