  • Additional Comments: 1-2 office days in area but they need to be prepared to go back to office full time in the future.
Typical Day or Week in the Role
Typical Task Breakdown - Salesforce Application Development
  • Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain Salesforce solutions using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Develop Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, JavaScript, SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and related platform capabilities.
  • Implement declarative solutions using Flow, validation rules, custom objects, record-triggered automation, approval processes, and platform configuration.
  • Develop integrations between Salesforce and enterprise applications using REST, SOAP, Platform Events, middleware, and event-driven architecture patterns.
  • Participate in solution architecture design, code reviews, technical documentation, release planning, and platform optimization activities.
Technical Problem Solving
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce designs.
  • Troubleshoot Apex, LWC, automation, data, integration, deployment, and platform performance issues.
  • Optimize Salesforce security and access controls using profiles, permission sets, permission set groups, sharing rules, role hierarchy, and field-level security.
  • Automate business processes using Salesforce Flow and platform automation tools while applying governance and maintainability standards.
  • Apply Salesforce development best practices, design patterns, and secure software engineering standards to create reliable enterprise solutions.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Salesforce Administrators, Salesforce Architects, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, system analysts, and business stakeholders.
  • Gather, analyze, and refine functional and technical requirements for Salesforce initiatives and integrations.
  • Communicate platform capabilities, solution designs, project updates, and implementation approaches clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in Agile sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, release readiness, testing, and production-support activities.
Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, regression, and user-acceptance testing for Salesforce solutions.
  • Maintain Apex test coverage and support mock testing for integrations and asynchronous processes.
  • Use Salesforce DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment quality and release reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with Salesforce security, platform governance, coding standards, and secure development requirements.
Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to Salesforce development standards, reusable components, coding guidelines, and platform best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes through Salesforce capabilities, integrations, automation, and data quality improvements.
  • Research and implement emerging Salesforce technologies, platform releases, AI-assisted capabilities, and development tools.
  • Support knowledge sharing, technical documentation, and mentoring of junior engineers when applicable.

Education & Experience Required
  • NO degree required
  • Salesforce Certification is nice to have
  • 2-4 years’ experience in this capacity
Required Technical Skills
  • Hands-on experience developing, configuring, testing, and deploying solutions on the Salesforce Platform.
  • Knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flow, Salesforce data modeling, and Salesforce security concepts.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise applications, APIs, middleware, identity providers, and external systems.
  • Understanding of Salesforce governance, platform limits, release management, and scalable solution design.
  • Experience with DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile delivery, and enterprise software development practices.
  • Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, Experience Cloud, or related Salesforce certifications preferred.
