Summary:
The main function of a Group Level Processor is to process health plan related data and information using automated systems within established production and quality standards. Process group level changes such as renewals, new group installations, billing unit updates, group name and address changes, benefit and rate information updates. Identifies and resolves issues with enrollment information and member eligibility.
Job Responsibilities:
• Looks up correct codes and enters data into system
• Researches information as appropriate to resolve problem encounters
• Regularly contacts other internal staff to verify information and occasionally contacts external entities to resolve problems
• Assists with related clerical duties to support unit or office on an as-needed basis
• May maintain additional reports
• Database input and maintenance
• Accesses and updates many complex computer screens
• Verifies accuracy of data submitted
• Adheres to state and federal regulations
• Basic understand Blue Shield plans and apply knowledge to building of groups
• Processes group level cancellations
• Interacts regularly with Sales, Brokers, employer groups, and other departments
Skills:
• Ability to enter and retrieve data using standardized keyboard functions
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures or government regulations
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of windows based applications (Word and Excel)

Education/Experience:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years’ experience required.
